New Guidance Notes for Property Valuers (Help to Buy)

Homes England has issued new guidance notes for property valuers who have been requested by a Help to Buy equity mortgage borrower to value their property with external cladding.

On 4 August 2021, Homes England published a form for RICS valuers who have been asked to value the property of a Help to Buy equity mortgage borrower, in particular looking at the existence of external cladding.

Under the terms of the equity mortgage valuers must have their appointment agreed by Homes England before they can proceed with this type of valuation.
